MI lost Ryan Rickelton for 9 and Tilak Varma for 0 before Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav added 53 runs for the third wicket to stabilize the innings. Rohit Sharma was looking good and even outfoxed DC’s Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, and KL Rahul into taking a review.
The event occurred during the fifth delivery of Kuldeep's ninth over. The ball got past Rohit's bat as he attempted a sweep shot, prompting a strong plea for caught behind.
Following the appeal, Rohit appeared to move back before returning to the middle, which enhanced the argument for Kuldeep, Rahul, and Delhi captain Axar Patel to send the judgment to the third umpire. As soon as the inspection began, the cameras focused on the 38-year-old, who was seen laughing.
The replays showed that the ball was nowhere near Rohit's bat and bounced off it. Rohit survived, and the former Mumbai Indians skipper had the final laugh after Delhi blew one review.
