Sarfaraz Khan scored 62 in his first innings on Test debut.

Naushad Khan was both emotional and proud seeing his son Sarfaraz Khan making his India debut in the ongoing third Test against England. This match started on February 15, 2024, and the five-Test series stands 1-1.

Naushad was present with his daughter-in-law at the sidelines to see Sarfaraz receiving his India Test cap from Anil Kumble and becoming the 311^th Test cricketer for the country. Ignored season after season despite making a plethora of runs in the domestic circuit, Sarfaraz finally had his moment.

Naushad couldn’t stop himself from shedding some tears of joy and hugged Sarfaraz tightly and kissed his son’s Test cap.

India skipper Rohit Sharma too congratulated Sarfaraz's father Naushad Khan and his wife as both soaked in the moment. The  heartfelt interaction saw Rohit Sharma approaching Naushad Khan, offering a handshake and a comforting hug.

Rohit can be heard acknowledging Naushad's efforts, saying, "'Aapne jo kia wo sabko malum hai (Whatever you have done it is known to all)."

The best part came when Sarfaraz Khan’s father requested Rohit Sharma to take care of the young cricketer.

He told Rohit: "Sir dhyan rakhna uska (Sir, please take care of him)." To which the Indian captain assured, "Yes definitely."
