India’s batting superstar and former skipper, Virat Kohli, enjoys a huge fan following across the world, and when it comes to the country, every cricket fan wants to see him on the field.
Well, Team India is currently hosting England in the five-match Test series, and the first Test is underway at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium. Fans are disappointed not to see their favorite Kohli in action in Hyderabad.
The senior right-handed batter pulled out of the first two Tests against England due to personal reasons. Meanwhile, the scenes at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium are going viral on social media, as the fans have been chanting for Kohli on Day 1 of the Hyderabad Test.
A fan said that he would miss Kohli, but he is excited for the India skipper Rohit Sharma in the first Test against England in Hyderabad.
A fan was quoted as saying by ANI: “We really miss (Virat) Kohli because Telugu fans have a huge fan base for Kohli. We miss him playing in Hyderabad... But I am really excited to see Captain Rohit Sharma.”
Another fan said, “India will win. Definitely, India will win the match.”
Meanwhile, the Bharat Army shared a clip on the social media platform where fans can be heard chanting Kohli’s name, as they captioned the post: Hyderabad is missing King Kohli.
