Sanju Samson has managed 29 and 10 runs in two T20Is against Bangladesh.
Sanju Samson was on the receiving end for some brutal trolling after he failed to score in the second T20I between India and Bangladesh, being played in Delhi on October 9, 2024. Samson had made 29 runs in the first match in Gwalior.
Much was expected from Samson, who made his India debut in 2015 and was tasked with opening the batting with Abhishek Sharma in the entire T20I series.
While Samson looked good initially, hitting 2 brilliant fours in his 7-ball 10 runs, he couldn’t cope with Taskin Ahmed’s slower delivery and only managed to lob the ball to Najmul Hossain Shanto at mid-off.
Sanju Samson has long been the subject of debate, with many questioning if he has been treated unfairly due to his intermittent selection in the national squad. Critics believe that he has frequently failed to match expectations with his performances, leaving fans and selectors wanting more of him.
This lack of form did not sit well with supporters, who resorted to social media to vent their frustrations and begin trolling him.
