Bangladesh won the toss and chose to bowl first, reducing India 88/3 at lunch.
Bangladesh came off a morale-boosting 2-0 Test series win over Pakistan, whom they defeated for the first time in their Test history.
India renewed their World Test Championship campaign after more than six months away from red-ball cricket. As the squad prepared for the first Test against Bangladesh in Chennai, the players were seen in good spirits during their practice session.
A clip from the session has now become popular on social media sites. During the warm-up, Virat Kohli playfully dragged Kuldeep Yadav, who was stretching with an elastic band.
Kohli grabbed the band and dragged Kuldeep Yadav along, and Rishabh Pant joined in the fun by grabbing Kuldeep's legs. Kohli and Pant then dragged Kuldeep across the ground, and the trio started laughing.

However, when the match began with India being asked to bat by the Bangladesh captain who won the toss, Hasan Mahmud ripped through the Indian top order. Rohit Sharma (6), Shubman Gill (0) and Virat Kohli (0) failed to cross the double figures.
Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rishabh Pant (39) added 62 runs for the 4th wicket, taking India to lunch at 88/3. But soon after lunch, Mahmud got rid of Pant as well.
