India batting star Virat Kohli made pacer Akash Deep’s day as he gifted him one of his bats as the team prepares for the first Test against Bangladesh in Chennai. The two-Test series begins on September 19, while the second Test will be played in Kanpur from September 27 onwards.  

Akash Deep and Virat Kohli play for the same franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL), Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and share a good rapport. Akash had made his India debut in the England Test series, which Virat Kohli had missed due to the birth of his second child.

Meanwhile, after receiving a bat from Virat Kohli, Akash shared the photograph of the bat with his fans on social media and thanked Kohli in his Instagram story.

Fans instantly reacted to the situation, recalling how Kohli resisted providing a bat to Rinku Singh, who had shattered the first one presented to him by the India star.

During the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, Rinku was seen requesting Kohli for another bat after revealing that previous one was broken. However, Kohli insisted that he had no spare bats left. The moment went viral on social media, with fans relating to Rinku's position and recognizing an innocent Kohli fan in him.
