India and West Indies will play one another in the final T20I of the series at Chennai after a long Diwali break. India already leads the series 2-0 thanks to a massive win in the second T20I match as Rohit Sharma slammed a record fourth T20I century.

Speaking of Rohit Sharma, he is also within range of the record of the most runs in T20I format. Rohit needs just 69 runs to eclipse New Zealand’s Martin Guptill’s record of 2271 runs. Rohit came into the series with 2086 runs to his name, second behind Virat Kohli; but Kohli missing the series gave Rohit a chance to leave him behind.

Rohit is also the top run-getter of the series with 117 runs in 2 matches at an average of 117 and a strike rate of 174.63. If he scores 69 runs in the third and final T20I, Rohit will become the top-scoring batsman in T20Is of all time. Given that he already holds the record of most centuries in the T20Is- 4; this record is not far from him.

The Indian team will be making a few changes in the squad for 3rd T20I, with as many as three bowlers being sent back home for rest ahead of the crucial Australia tour.
