A fan on Saturday breached the security at MCA Stadium, Pune during the second Test between India and South Africa. He wanted to meet his idol Rohit Sharma who was fielding at slip cordon.

The fan tackled Rohit Sharma to the ground trying to touch his feet. While many saw the funny side of the incident, former India cricketer Aakash Chopra, who is a commentator on the series, raised questions on security.

"A fan ran out to the center of the pitch to touch Rohit's feet. A humbling moment for the player, I guess. A moment to remember for the fan. But Rohit lost his balance...fell on the ground. People found it funny...but think—what if Rohit picked up an injury during that incident?", wrote Chopra on Twitter.

This is the third time a fan has managed to tackle security and enter the playing area. In the first Test at Vizag, a fan shook India skipper Virat Kohli's hand and tried to take a selfie with the on-field cricketers.

Before that, during the 2nd T20I in Mohali, the play was stopped when fans entered the field. The incidents have increased in recent times, and there is no necessary action taken by BCCI as of now.
