IND v SA 2019: Ben Stokes makes a clever comment on Rohit Sharma cursing out Pujara

A frustrated Rohit Sharma let go at Pujara for refusing a single.

Rohit Sharma is a character in the team thanks to his sense of humor and ability to keep things calm and light even in the tensest of situations. This helps his partners and other players keep focus on the job.

An example of this was seen when Rohit Sharma was batting with Cheteshwar Pujara during the 1st Test between India and South Africa being played in Vizag. Rohit is already in the form of his life, having made 176 in the first innings on his debut as an opener and in the second innings as well, he has scored a well-made half-century.

However, when he was on 45 and trying to up the run rate as India is looking to add quick runs and declare to make South Africa chase a stiff target, he called Pujara for a quick run and took off. However, Pujara being himself, refused to take a risk with his running abilities and said no. This led to Rohit Sharma cursing Pujara and saying, “Pujji bhaag b******d, mai pohonch jaunga waha (Run Pujara, I will reach your end)."

However, when someone utters that curse word, it seems like they are calling out to England all-rounder Ben Stokes and he has always been tagged on social media if Virat Kohli, who has a habit of uttering the curse word, lets one out.

Stokes, who has a good sense of humor himself, was fed up with his Twitter blowing up with fans saying Kohli uttered ‘Ben Stokes’, took this instance of Rohit Sharma using the same word for Pujara and posted “This time it’s Rohit not Virat....if you know you know” much to the amusement of the fans.
