India defeated England in the fourth T20I by 8 runs to level the series 2-2.
Former India cricketer Wasim Jaffer posted a tweet subtly directed towards ex-England captain Michael Vaughan. His post came after India's 8-run win in the fourth T20I against England at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
Vaughan pointed out that the major contributors in Team India's win are from Mumbai Indians. He mentioned Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, and Rohit Sharma in his tweet.
"Just a thought ... @surya_14kumar Mumbai Indian ... @hardikpandya7 Mumbai Indian ... @ImRo45 captaincy Mumbai Indian !!!! @mipaltan #JustSaying #INDvENG", Vaughan's tweet read.
Jaffer reacted to his post, although he didn't tag the Englishman, and wrote that anyone saying their team lost to a franchise team and not a national team, they are trolling their own side.
"When you say your team wasn't defeated by a national team but by a franchise team, you're not trolling your opponents, you're trolling your own team. Night all. #INDvsENG", he tweeted.
Suryakumar was the Player-of-the-Match for his 31-ball 57 runs knock. He helped India post a competitive total of 185/8 and it was defended by the host bowlers despite the dew factor against them. Pandya bowled an outstanding spell of 2/16 in four overs.
