Sundar and Bairstow got engaged in a heated conversation and Nitin Menon had to solve the matter.
India all-rounder Washington Sundar engaged in a heated conversation with England batsman Jonny Bairstow during the first T20I on Friday (March 12). The incident happened during England's chase at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
It was the 14th over of England's innings when Dawid Malan chipped a delivery from Sundar and almost got caught by him on the follow-through. But Bairstow at the non-striker end came in his way and it hit his helmet which gave Malan a lifeline.
Although Bairstow didn't do it intentionally, Sundar was furious at him for taking away an opportunity of caught and bowled. He shouted at him as the Englishman looked at him surprisingly.

India lost the match by 8 wickets. Virat Kohli and co failed to counter England's fast bowling attack and could only set a target of 125 runs in 20 overs. With dew to come, it was going to be an easy ask for Eoin Morgan-led side. They chased it down with 27 deliveries left.
