Akshar Patel was the Man of the Match for India in the third Test win over England.
India captain Virat Kohli is in awe of spinner Akshar Patel's outstanding bowling display in the third Test against England. Although it was a spin-friendly track, Akshar did well to bowl in the right areas and utilize the pitch in his favor.
The 27-year-old picked up 11 wickets in the match which was his first 10-wicket haul in Test cricket in just his second match. Hardik Pandya interviewed Akshar after the match for BCCI.tv over his match-winning performance. That's when Kohli joined them and praised the spin all-rounder in Gujarati.

"Ae Bapu thaari bowling kamaal chhe (Bapu {Axar's nickname}, your bowling was superb)", said Kohli which left Akshar in splits. Hardik said that the skipper has just learned a few words of Gujarati.
Even in the post-match presentation, Kohli joked about Gujarati left-arm spin all-rounders, referring to Ravindra Jadeja and Akshar. "Look I don't know what's the case with Gujaratis and left-arm spinning all-rounders. They seem to be a nightmare for the batters.
"I think he bowled amazingly well, Axar. And, it's testimony to his hard work, his accuracy, that's exactly why we picked him. It's impossible to sweep him, it's impossible to defend him all day. If the wicket gives him anything, he's just a very lethal bowler," he said during the ceremony.
