Rohit bowled couple of overs before the tea break on day 2.
It was another long day in the field for Team India as England batted through the second day of the Chennai Test to finish at 555/8 with captain Joe Root scoring 218 - the highest score ever by a batsman in his 100th Test. Ben Stokes also scored 82 to provide some impetus to the innings. India's bowlers tried valiantly with little help from the pitch.
Ishant Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Ravichandra Ashwin and Shahbaz Nadeem picked two wickets each but at a heavy price and that has left India now with no option but to bat as long as possible to save the first Test. Indian fielding was once again below par which will be a concern for the team going forward in the four-match series.

With the specialist bowlers getting tired in the heat of Chennai, Virat Kohli brought on Rohit Sharma to bowl couple of overs before tea to provide some respite. The 'hitman' as he is popularly called, provided some comic relief as well when he imitated the bowling action of veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh on the last ball before the break.
Video clips of Rohit's effort went viral on Twitter, with fans tagging Harbhajan for his thoughts and he did not disappoint as he quoted one of the fans' tweets and applauded Rohit for doing a fine job in emulating his action, while calling him 'shana'.
India would hope for a big knock from Rohit Sharma on day three after England complete their innings. The right-hander has an excellent record at home and bats at a high strike-rate especially against spinners which puts oppositions under pressure.
