R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja were jointly named the Player of the Series.
Virat Kohli was named the Player of the Match for his brilliant 186 as India posted 571 in response to Australia’s 480 runs in the first innings, while Shubman Gill also scored 128. For Australia Usman Khawaja made 180 and Cameron Green hit his maiden Test century.
In the second innings, Australia was 175/2 with Travis Head (90) and Marnus Labuschagne (63*) when the game was called a draw and players from both sides shook hands.
Both R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja were named the Player of the Series thanks to their combined 47 wickets in the four Tests. Ashwin picked 25 wickets with a best of 6/91 at an average of 17.28, while Jadeja picked 22 wickets with a best of 7/42 and an average of 18.86.
Jadeja also scored 135 runs in 5 innings with a best of 70 and had won Player of the Match in the first two Test wins. R Ashwin contributed 86 runs as well.
After the match, R Ashwin posted a video on his Instagram in which Jadeja shared the spoils of the series with him and then the duo walked away with RRR’s Oscar award-winning song ‘Naatu Naatu’ playing in the background.
