India won the series 2-1 after the fourth Test ended in a draw.
India completed a fourth consecutive series win over Australia after the final Test in Ahmedabad ended in a tame draw on Monday (March 13).
Australia began the day at 3/0, trailing India by 88 runs as Travis Head (90) and Marnus Labuschagne (63*) struck half-centuries to ensure there was no drama on the last day. Australia declared their innings at 175/2 and the players shook hands as India won the series 2-1 and also booked their spot in the WTC Final against the same opponent in June.

After the match ended, players from both sides were seen mingling with each other and catching up after battling in another hard-fought Border-Gavaskar Trophy series. This was however, by far one of the friendliest series between the two teams who have a history of fiery clashes in the past.
Virat Kohli, who ended his three-year drought of Test centuries with 186 to secure the series win for India, gifted his jersey to Usman Khawaja, who also made 180 in the drawn match, and wicketkeeper-batter Alex Carey. It was a nice gesture from Kohli, who also was named the Player-of-the-Match for his 28th Test hundred.
