ENG v IND 2018: Vinod Kambli wishes luck to Prithvi Shaw after India selection

Shaw averages 56.72 in First-Class cricket with seven centuries and five half-centuries.

Former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli is elated with the news that the 18-year-old Prithvi Shaw got his maiden Test call in the ongoing Test series against England.

The India U-19 skipper has called up for the remaining two Test matches of the five-match series in England. The Mumbai lad is a direct replacement for Murali Vijay, who’s been dropped from the squad after a poor run of scores in the first two Tests against England.

Besides Shaw, Hanuma Vihari also earned maiden Test call for the remaining matches who will replace china man bowler Kuldeep Yadav in the national squad.

Meanwhile, Kambli has asked Shaw, who has been a reputed young player in the domestic circuit, to give his best and do justice with the faith of Indian selectors and wished him  good luck for the matches.

After BCCI broke the news regarding Prithvi’s call-up, Kambli took to Twitter to express his happiness over Shaw’s India selection. He wrote, “It’s a great opportunity for you my friend, @PrithviShaw Enjoy the game and give your best.. All the best.. ????”

Meanwhile, Shaw is really excited to be part of the ongoing Test series and finally now has been selected in the Indian squad for the last two Tests against England.
