Multan Sultans all-rounder Kieron Pollard was reprimanded for a level 1 breach of the PSL Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, in the match against Lahore Qalandars at the Gaddafi Stadium on Saturday (March 4).

A spokesman for the Pakistan Cricket Board said that Pollard violated Article 2.5, which reads as: “Using language, actions or gestures which disparage or which could provoke an aggressive reaction from a batter upon his/her dismissal during a match”.

The incident occurred in the 13th over of Lahore's innings when Pollard after taking a stunning catch of Abdullah Shafique off his own bowling signalled towards the pavilion in a fiery send-off gesture.

Pollard pleaded guilty to the charge and accepted the sanction proposed by match referee Muhammad Javed Malik. The charge was levelled by on-field umpires Martin Saggers and Faisal Afridi, third umpire Ahsan Raza and fourth umpire Shozab Raza.

Multan Sultans lost the match by 21 runs but Pollard achieved couple of special milestones, as he completed 12,000 runs and 800 sixes in the T20 format during his innings of 39 in 28 balls.
