The match went into the Super Over.
Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) and Guyana Amazon Warriors (GAW) clashed in a thrilling clash of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL 2021) on Wednesday (September 1).
Guyana won the toss and elected to bowl first as the Knight Riders posted a moderate total of 138/9 in their 20 overs. Colin Munro top scored with 32, while Sunil Narine and Isuru Udana made 21 each. Romario Shepherd and Mohammad Hafeez took three wickets a piece.

Guyana themselves struggled in the pursue of the target of 139 as Shimron Hetmyer and Nicholas Pooran got 27 each but failed to take their side across the line by staying till the end as the game went into the Super Over after scores were level with the Warriors also finishing at 138/9. Ravi Rampaul bagged another four-wicket haul, while Sunil Narine took 2/9 in his four overs.
Guyana won the Super Over and took home the crucial points from the match, despite scoring just six runs batting first with Narine taking two wickets. In reply, Romario Shepherd bowled a brilliant over to concede only four runs.
However, Akeal Hosein of TKR made a massive impact with his one-handed catch on the boundary to dismiss Pooran who was looking dangerous for the Knight Riders. What seemed like a six, eventually ended up as a wicket for TKR that proved to be quite crucial.
Commentators and fans labelled it as the 'catch of the tournament' despite a lot of games left to be played in the ongoing season. Watch here:
