According to a report published in ESPNcricinfo, Wahab and Sammy met a person outside the team's bio-secure bubble on Friday (February 19).
The violation came three days after the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had urged the players, support staff and match officials to "religiously follow" all COVID-19 protocols.
On Saturday (February 20), PCB also confirmed that a player featuring in the PSL tested positive for Coronavirus. The anonymous player who returned COVID-19 positive has been quarantined for 10 days.
Moreover, a player and an official of one of the franchises participating in the PSL 2021 have been put in a three-day quarantine after they came into contact with a person outside the bio-secure bubble on February 19.
Both the infected person will now need two negative tests during the quarantine period before they can re-enter the bio-secure bubble.
The sixth edition of PSL got underway on February 20, with defending champions Karachi Kings taking on Quetta Gladiators in the tournament opener.
The 34-match event will culminate with the final at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on March 22.
