Suryakumar has been a consistent performer in India's domestic circuit and the IPL.
Middle-order batsman Suryakumar Yadav finally earned his maiden call-up to the national team after consistent performances for Mumbai in domestic cricket as well as Mumbai Indians in the IPL.
Suryakumar has played a key role in MI’s triumphant IPL 2020 campaign in UAE. He finished the IPL 13 with 480 runs from 16 matches at a strike rate of 145.01 with 4 half-centuries.
No wonder, his selection snub during the Australia tour late last year had created hue and cry.
As soon as BCCI announced the squad and Suryakumar Yadav featured in the last, cricket fraternity took to Twitter and congratulated the Mumbai lad.
Check out the reactions:

Wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav and middle-order Manish Pandey have been dropped whereas pacer Jasprit Bumrah has been rested.
