The play was stopped for a while after Khawaja called for a new guard from dressing room.
A hilarious incident happened during the Big Bash League (BBL) knockout match between Sydney Thunder and Brisbane Heat. The play was stopped for few minutes while the Thunder batsman Usman Khawaja changed his lower abdomen guard.
It happened after the end of 8th over. The guard had slipped out and Khawaja took some time to change the abdomen guard along with the jockstrap. He took his pants off to replace the jockstrap.
The funny thing was he was doing it in the middle of the ground and the commentators were wondering if this has happened before or not. Marnus Labuschagne, who was ready to bowl the next over, couldn't do anything but wait till Khawaja was done.
