SMA Trophy 2021: Mahipal Lomror slams 37-ball 78* as Rajasthan beat Bihar by 16 runs in Quarterfinal 4

Rajasthan will now face Tamil Nadu in the first semi-final on January 29.

The fourth quarter-final of the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy 2021 saw Bihar facing Rajasthan at the Sardar Patel Stadium in Ahmedabad on Wednesday (January 27).

Opting to bat first, Rajasthan rode on Mahipal Lomror’s blazing 37-ball 78* (5 fours and 5 sixes) to post 164/5 in 20 overs. Openers Bharat Sharma and Ankit Lamba also contributed 38-run each.

Suraj Kashyap was the pick of the bowlers for Bihar, claiming 2 wickets by conceding 28 runs in his four overs. Skipper Ashutosh Aman also took a couple of wickets by giving away in his four-over quota.

In reply, Bihar could manage 148/4 in 20 overs. Except for Mangal Mahrour (68 not out off 58 balls), none of the Bihar batsmen managed to touch the 30-run mark.

Chandrapal Singh (1-21), Aniket Choudhary (1-25) bowled economically for Rajasthan and picked up one scalp each.

Rajasthan will now face Tamil Nadu in the first semi-final in Ahmedabad on Friday (January 29).
