CWC 2019: WATCH – This elderly Indian fan has touched hearts everywhere; cricketers react on Twitter

India and Bangladesh are clashing in Birmingham.

The Indian team is engaged in a very exciting encounter with Bangladesh in the ICC World Cup 2019, with eyes on semifinals qualification. Virat Kohli started off on the right note by winning the toss and choosing to bat first.

Rohit Sharma slammed his 26th ODI and fourth century in this tournament to bolster the Indian team to 314/9 in 50 overs. For Bangladesh, Mustafizur Rahman picked a fifer. Rohit equaled Sri Lanka’s Kumar Sangakkara’s record of four hundred in a single edition of World Cup and also overtook David Warner as the highest run-getter at this tournament.

He also added 180 runs with KL Rahul (77) at the top, breaking a 4-year-old record set by Rohit and Shikhar Dhawan for the highest opening partnership for India in a World Cup match.

During India’s innings, the cameraman managed to capture a picture of an elderly Indian fan, who amazed Twitterati with her spirit and enthusiasm. Rishabh Pant had hit a boundary and the cameraman caught the fan cheering for Indian team, and blowing a horn with enthusiasm that out teenagers to shame.

The appearance of the elderly fan was one of the highlights of India’s innings and she instantly became an internet sensation. She even caught eyes of some of the cricketers who made sure to give her a mention.
