2019 Cricket World Cup will kick start in England and Wales from 30 May.
On the prestigious occasion of the eighth anniversary of India's 2011 World Cup triumph, Sachin Tendulkar, on Tuesday, 2nd April, sent a heartfelt message for the Indian Cricket Team, as he expressed his desire to see four stars on India jersey after the 2019 World Cup.
Tendulkar - a member of the history-making India squad has called lifting the coveted World Cup trophy on April 2, 2011, the biggest moment of his life, when India won the title after 28 years, saying he has never seen a bigger day in his well-known 25 long career.
The batting maestro further went on to urge the Indian cricket fans to support Virat Kohli-led World Cup-bound team in the upcoming 50-over mega ICC event starting from 30 May in England and Wales.
He also added that the stars on Team India's blue jersey shows the number of World Cup wins of the side and said he really wants Kohli and his brigade to increase the number from three (1983 and 2011 World Cup, 2007 T20 World Cup) to four this time in England.
In a video shared by Tendulkar on his twitter handle on Tuesday, the cricket legend was seen saying, “2nd of April, 2011... I honestly don't know where I should start, what all I should say and where I should stop. It was the biggest day of my life. I have never seen a bigger day in my long career. World Cup comes every four years. It's been eight years since that day. The next World Cup is here. Our World Cup team hasn't been announced but whoever goes there (England) is our team.”
Tendulkar signed off by saying, “I want to say one thing. If you carefully look at the BCCI logo on our India jersey, you can spot three stars on top of the logo... three World Cups. Three stars should turn into four. That's what I want. Let's all support our team this World Cup.”
