Rohit Sharma only managed 3 runs while opening the innings.
India batter KL Rahul was sledged by Australia’s Nathan Lyon after he was demoted to the no.3 spot in the India batting order in the ongoing fourth Test in MCG. Australia posted 474 runs in the first innings thanks to Steve Smith’s 140 and his 112-run partnership with Pat Cummins.
In reply, India opened with Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma. Sharma had batted at no.6 in the previous two Tests, with KL Rahul opening the innings and doing well in both matches. But Rohit has not scored many runs at no.6 and hence shuffle was made in the XI and India's captain opened the innings.
However, Rohit’s agony continued as he fell for 3 runs, trying to pull Pat Cummins. This brought out KL Rahul to the wickets and he was greeted by a taunt from Nathan Lyon.
As Rahul arrived at the crease and marked his guard, Lyon could be heard taunting Rahul about his demotion to no.3, saying, "What did you do wrong to bat one down?"
Despite the comment, Rahul brushed off Lyon and continued to focus on his game.

India finished on 164/5 at stumps on day 2 with Ravindra Jadeja and Rishabh Pant at the crease.
