India captain Rohit Sharma and opener KL Rahul were seen engaging in an argument after a huge mix-up between them, almost causing a runout. This happened on day 3 of the ongoing BGT 2024 third Test in Brisbane.

Australia was bowled out for 445 runs with Jasprit Bumrah claiming his second six-wicket haul in the series.

In reply, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, and Rishabh Pant all fell for single-digit scores and it saw Rohit Sharma walking out to bat with India at 45/4. Rohit has been in poor form recently and sorely needs to score runs to recover his confidence.

Under such strain, Rohit was fortunate not to be dismissed following a massive mix-up with his batting partner KL Rahul. During India's 16th over, KL Rahul tucked a ball to the right of midwicket and asked for a single.

Rohit was slightly late to start, resulting in a disastrous mix-up between the two batters. Both hitters were stranded in the middle of the crease at one point, but Australian skipper Pat Cummins misfielded the ball at midwicket, allowing an easy single.

After the mix-up, Rohit Sharma was not pleased with KL Rahul and immediately scolded him by saying, "KL Jaane de udhar se (KL, let the ball go from there)".

KL Rahul too responded to Rohit Sharma as their conversation was recorded on the stump mic.

He said, "Pehle hi boldo mai piche chala jaunga." Rohit then said, "wo kitna aage hai samajh nahi aa raha isiliye."
