Thanks to Pant's outstanding catch, India broke the 124-run opening partnership.
Just when the visitors were desperate for a wicket, veteran pacer Umesh Yadav broke the 124-run partnership by removing Shanto on 67, thanks to a stunning catch from Rishabh Pant behind the stumps.
During the 47th over of Bangladesh’s second innings, Shanto went for a loose shot against Umesh and the ball took a thick outside edge of his bat. While it was a regulation catch for Virat Kohli at first slip, he made a mess of it.
Pant, however, was alert behind the wicket as he dived across his left and grabbed it after Kohli deflected the ball close enough to the wicketkeeper.

Coming to the match, Shanto’s wicket brought Yasir Ali to the crease but the latter was dismissed for just 5 by Akshar Patel.
At the time of writing, the hosts were at 139/2 after 54 overs in their second innings.
