Dinesh Karthik had won the 2018 Nidahas Trophy Final against Bangladesh by smashing a last-ball six.
IPL’s most popular franchise, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), has been brutally slammed by the cricket fans for taking an indirect dig at Rohit Sharma after the Indian skipper could not take Team India over the line in the second ODI against Bangladesh on December 7.
Actually, RCB shared a throwback picture of Dinesh Karthik, showing his heroics in the 2018 Nidahas Trophy final against Bangladesh, on Twitter, after India lost the second ODI by 5 runs to lose the series to the Tigers in Dhaka on Wednesday.
Well, the fans were quick to believe that the RCB admin was perhaps trying to subtly troll Rohit for not being able to hit the six off the final ball to win the match for Team India in Dhaka while highlighting the equation of the 2018 Nidahas Trophy final that was completely similar to the second ODI against Bangladesh.
While Karthik, who is a major part of the RCB team, won the 2018 Nidahas Trophy final against Bangladesh with a remarkable six, Rohit, who was batting with pain after injuring his thumb while fielding in Dhaka, couldn’t hit the six, and India lost the match as well as the series against the Tigers.
Recalling how Karthik had finished the job for India in the Nidahas Trophy final against Bangladesh in 2018, the RCB tweeted: “Need a 6 to win. Last ball. vs Bangladesh. We win some, we lose some. And it’s OK as long as we move on and we move forward.”
