Abrar celebrated Samson's wicket with a 'head shake' celebration in the Asia Cup final.
Team India defeated Pakistan by five wickets to clinch the Asia Cup 2025 title on Sunday (September 28) at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Tilak Varma and Sanju Samson came to India’s rescue in the final after the Men in Blue were reduced to 20/3 inside the powerplay in their chase of 147. The middle-order pair steadied the ship by adding 57 runs for the fourth wicket.
Abrar Ahmed broke the stand by dismissing Samson on 24. The leg-spinner celebrated the wicket in his typical style – turning his head sideways, as if to tell the batter to “buzz off” the ground.
While Samson was dismissed in the 13th over, Tilak (69* off 53) stayed till the end to take India over the line with two deliveries to spare.
After the win, Arshdeep Singh shared a video on Instagram, in which the left-arm pacer himself along with Harshit Rana and Jitesh Sharma were seen mocking Abrar’s ‘head shake’ celebration in front of Samson.
Known for his shy nature, Samson too was left in splits by the hilarious act of his teammates and the video went viral on the internet in no time.
