The moment unfolded in the 18th over of Pakistan’s innings.
Indian pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah pulled off a ‘jet crash’ celebration after dismissing Pakistan’s Haris Rauf in the Asia Cup 2025 final on Sunday (September 28) at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
The moment unfolded in the 18th over of Pakistan’s innings. Bumrah produced a stunning yorker to uproot Rauf’s off-stump and then erupted in a never-see-before celebration.
The ace pace didn’t hesitate one bit as he teased Rauf with a ‘jet crash’ celebration. Notably, Haris Rauf had made gestures mimicking a crashing plane and holding up six fingers — widely interpreted as a reference to Pakistan’s baseless claims of downing Indian jets in the cross-border tussle earlier this year.
Here’s the video of Bumrah’s dismissal of Rauf and his celebration:
Coming to the Asia Cup 2025 final, India bowled out Pakistan for 146 in 19.1 overs. Kuldeep Yadav starred with the ball, returning with the figures of 4/30 in four overs while Bumrah, Varun Chakaravarthy and Axar Patel picked up two wickets each.
