Indian PM Narendra Modi, on his show ‘Mann ki Baat’, lauded the Indian cricket team for their amazing and well-fought Test series win in Australia.

The Indian team fought injuries and getting bowled out for 36 in an innings in Adelaide, to register a 2-1 series win over Australia in Tests and retained the Border-Gavaskar Trophy as well. This included an amazing Test win in Gabba, Brisbane, where Australia had not lost a Test since 1988 and India created a record by chasing down 328 runs for the win.

This came after Indian captain Virat Kohli returned home after the Adelaide Test loss and Ajinkya Rahane took over. India also lost Mohammad Shami, Ravindra Jadeja, R Ashwin, Hanuma Vihari, and a couple of more players to injuries during the course of the series.
