Shubman Gill was dismissed on 50 on the second day of third Test against Australia.
India's opener Shubman Gill scored his maiden half-century in Test cricket on Friday (December 8) against Australia in the third Test. He is playing only the second Test match of his career and looked very much in control with his shots.
Gill, who was dismissed on 50 by Aussie pacer Pat Cummins, received a piece of advice from Dinesh Karthik. Karthik praised the 21-year-old for his innings but told him not to be too harsh on himself after the dismissal.
"A star has arrived. Good start Gilly! You looked good the whole time.", wrote Karthik. "Don’t be too hard on yourself about the dismissal", he added.
Shikhar Dhawan responded to Karthik's post and asked if he really looked at something he missed out on? "How do you know he was too hard on himself about the dismissal?", he asked.
Karthik, not to be left behind in the banter, came up with his response citing how Punjabi openers get extremely upset after getting out.
