Team India are reportedly not comfortable with the quarantine restrictions in Queensland.
Former England captain Michael Vaughan took a jibe at the Indian cricket team over their unwillingness to travel to Brisbane for the last Test of Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
Team India are not comfortable with the quarantine restrictions after traveling to Queensland. The state's chief health officer Jeannette Young has already said the safety protocols won't be sacrificed and the Test could go ahead only if both teams adhered to the advised guidelines.
Vaughan reacted to India's hesitation on traveling to Queensland and joked that the pitch at The Gabba might be the reason they don't want to go there.
"Covid restrictions or the Pitch in Brisbane they are concerned about ?", wrote Vaughan quoting a news report.
Earlier, Australia skipper Tim Paine had commented on India's reluctance to play in Brisbane. "It’s boiling away. There’s some stuff starting to happen, there’s a bit of chat starting to happen so I think this Test is going to be fascinating not just from a cricket point of view," Paine said.
"There’s a bit of tension starting to boil under the surface with a lot of unnamed sources coming out from their camp saying where they want to play the fourth Test and where they don’t want to go. I think it’s starting to grind a few people so we’ll see how it goes."
