India recorded a famous and series equaling victory at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in the ongoing 4-match Test series against Australia. This win was even sweeter as it came after the Adelaide debacle and India was without Virat Kohli.

Ajinkya Rahane, captaining in place of Kohli, led from the front scoring 112 and then hitting the winning runs in the second innings as well. As for the bowlers, Jasprit Bumrah, R Ashwin, and debutant Mohammed Siraj impressed a lot.

Shubman Gill also looked at ease in his first Test match scoring 45 and 35*, while Ravindra Jadeja made a fifty in his 50th Test match for India as well.

India can now hope to equalize the series or even win it with this victory in MCG and there is a possibility that the next third Test, may also be played in MCG as well, given the COVID-19 situation in Sydney.

However, before that, the Indian team celebrated the MCG Test win with aplomb, and Rahane, Pujara, Ashwin, Jadeja, Umesh, and Bumrah posed for a photo beneath the historic MCG honors board.

However, more than the photo, cricketers and fans commented on the pose of Cheteshwar Pujara, who stood in attention mode, while all others gave a relaxed pose. Apart from funny comments from the fans, Ashwin and Rohit Sharma also made fun of Pujara.

Rohit said that Pujara was too stiff, to which Ashwin said that maybe the Indian national anthem was playing in Pujara’s mind.
