AUS v IND 2020-21: WATCH - David Warner limps off the SCG after leg injury in 2nd ODI

The in-form opening batsman hurt himself trying to save a single in the field during India's run-chase.

After all-rounder Marcus Stoinis, Australia suffered their second injury scare for the ongoing ODI series as experienced opening batsman David Warner left the field during the fourth over of the Indian chase at SCG on Sunday (November 29). 

Warner went down in pain after trying to save a single. The 34-year-old was later seen grimacing and clutching his groin while the Australian team physio ran on to the field and took a limping Warner off the ground.

"David Warner has an aductor (groin) injury. He will have scans tonight," mentioned an official statement on the player's injury, as quoted by Cricbuzz

The team management will hope for Warner's quick recovery with him looking in fantastic form. 

The batsman had earlier on played a superb knock of 83 before being run-out and set the hosts on their way to a mammoth score of 389/4.

The mammoth total also included another outstanding Steve Smith (104) ton and fifties from skipper Aaron Finch (60), Marnus Labuschagne (70) and Glenn Maxwell (63*).
