Ben Stokes' name was the big one missing from either England squads.
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has announced the England squad for the upcoming India white-ball tour and the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
England will play three ODIs and three T20Is against India in India and will then proceed to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy, which will be played from February 19- March 9.
Both squads feature 15 players, captained by Jos Buttler and marking the first tour and tournament under Head Coach Brendon McCullum.
Joe Root made his return to the ODI side and Ben Stokes was not considered for selection since his hamstring injury. Rehan Ahmed has been chosen for the T20I squad, while Joe Root has only been selected for the ODI squad.
Explosive talents like Jacob Bethell, Harry Brook, Brydon Carse, Jamie Smith, and Saqib Mahmood have been named in both the squads as well.
