India will tour Zimbabwe for three ODIs next month.
Just like the recently held series against West Indies, Shikhar Dhawan will lead the Indian ODI team, which doesn’t feature star players such as Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, and Jasprit Bumrah.
Shubman Gill, who earned the Player-of-the-Series against West Indies, retained his place in the side, which also includes Ruturaj Gaikwad, Deepak Hooda, Rahul Tripathi, Ishan Kishan, and Sanju Samson.
Deepak Chahar and Washington Sundar, who were out of India’s white-ball set-up, have also been named in the squad alongside Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav, Akshar Patel, Avesh Khan, Prasidh Krishna, and Mohammed Siraj.
From the ODI squad that played against West Indies, Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, and Yuzvendra Chahal haven’t been included in the team for the Zimbabwe series.
The ODI series is due to get underway on August 18. All three games will be played at Harare Sports Club.
