Mumbai Indians will play Delhi Capitals in the WPL Final.
Mumbai Indians (MI) registered a resounding win over UP Warriorz (UPW) in the Eliminator of Women's Premier League (WPL 2023) at DY Patil Stadium on Friday (March 24) to enter the final.
UPW captain Alyssa Healy won the toss and chose to bowl first, with recent results going the way of the chasing teams. Yastika Bhatia (21) and Hayley Matthews (26) gave a decent start to MI, but could not get the big score they were after.
Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur also fell for 14, but it was Nat Sciver-Brunt who played the match-defining knock of 72* in 38 balls, and received valuable support from Amelia Kerr (29) as MI posted 182/4 on the board.
In reply, UPW got off to the worst possible start losing their first four wickets for 56 in the 8th over. Kiran Navgire (43) played some powerful shots but it was too little too late for the side as they were bundled out for 110 in the 18th over.
