WPL 2023 will open on March 4 with MI taking on Gujarat Giants.
The Mumbai Indians squad came together for their first-ever practice on Saturday, February 25, led by head coach Charlotte Edwards. Coach Edwards from MI spoke to the girls and engaged them in a fun interactive activity. The former England player met Indian players from the area. In addition to Edwards, Devika Palshikar, the batting coach, was seen interacting with the players.
“Here’s to sun, the sea, the blue-and-gold of Mumbai. Here’s to our first-ever #WPL jersey and all she brings,” MI wrote while unveiling the jersey.
Meanwhile, Tata group will be the title sponsor of the WPL 2023, and the BCCI has also signed up with Dream11, CEAT tyres, and Amul as partners for the upcoming mega event. Dream 11 will be the Official Fantasy Partner of the WPL.
CEAT Tyres and the BCCI have extended their long-standing partnership and will be the Official Strategic Timeout Partner of the WPL. Amul, the largest in the world in the dairy category, will be the Official Beverage Partner.
