Tilak Varma's judgment to take the catch also impressed the commentators.
In the series opener, India handed debut caps to middle-order batter Tilak Varma and right-arm seamer Mukesh Kumar.
On debut, Tilak left everyone stunned with a remarkable catch to dismiss the Caribbean wicketkeeper-batter Johnson Charles.
During the 8th over of West Indies’ innings, Charles attempted a big slog sweep against wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav but he mistimed it and the ball went up in the air.
Tilak, who was stationed at deep mid-wicket, ran 10-15 metres to his left and then dived to complete the grab. His judgment also impressed the commentators.

Notably, Tilak has been rewarded a place in the Indian team thanks to his stunning exploits in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for Mumbai Indians (MI) over the last couple of seasons.
The southpaw has played 25 IPL matches so far, scoring 740 runs at a healthy average of 38.95 and an impressive strike rate of 144.53 with three half-centuries.
