Jaydev Unadkat made his comeback into the Indian ODI side after ten years when he was included in the playing XI for the third and final ODI against West Indies, having played his previous ODI, against the same team in 2013.

After losing the second ODI of the series, the Asian Giants made a solid comeback as they thrashed the hosts by 200 runs to win the three-ODI series 2-1 as India posted 351/5 in 50 overs with half-centuries from Ishan Kishan, Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya and Sanju Samson.

Then the Indian bowlers came into play and the West Indies top order was demolished as Shardul Thakur picked 4 wickets and Mukesh Kumar took 3 wickets. Only a fifty-plus-run partnership between Alzarri Joseph and Gudakesh Motie buoyed them to 151 all-out.

Jaydev Unadkat, who made his comeback on the Indian side after 10 years, opened up about his first game after a huge gap and said that he was waiting for the opportunity. He ended up picking the wicket of Keacy Carty.

before the 3rd ODI against West Indies, Unadkat was last featured in a 50-over game for India against West Indies in November 2013.

Unadkat said: “Bhuvi (Bhuvneshwar Kumar), Shami (Mohammed Shami), Me, Jaddu (Ravindra Jadeja), Ash (R Ashwin), Rohit Bhai (Rohit Sharma), Shikhi Pa (Shikhar Dhawan), Raina (Suresh Raina), Yuvi Pa (Yuvraj Singh), Mahi Bhai (MS Dhoni), and took a long pause before naming Virat Kohli.”
