Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were rested for the second ODI in Barbados.
The second match of the three-match ODI series in Barbados began on a shocking note for the viewers as Indian vice-captain Hardik Pandya came out for the toss with West Indies captain Shai Hope, and not Rohit Sharma.
Hope won the toss and opted to bowl, following which Hardik revealed that Rohit and Virat Kohli were rested for the match as both had played a lot of cricket and India wanted answers to some questions. Sanju Samson and Akshar Patel came into the side in place of the two veteran batters.
Rohit was seen several times in the team dressing room during India's innings but what caught the attention was the sight of Kohli coming out carrying drinks for the batters along with Yuzvendra Chahal.
The 34-year-old former captain is a thorough team man and this wasn't the first occasion when he has carried drinks for his teammates.

However, the experimentation did not bear any fruits for the Indian team as they were bowled out for 181 in the 41st over. Ishan Kishan (55), Shubman Gill (34) and Suryakumar Yadav (24) were the only batters to spend some time in the middle as Romario Shepherd and Gudakesh Motie picked three wickets apiece.
