Virat Kohli remained unbeaten on 36 in 96 balls with just one four to his name.

And then he became only the third Indian opener to score a century in his debut Test innings, as he reached the milestone on his 215^th delivery.

On the other end, Virat Kohli was mad to work hard on a slow pitch to get momentum in his knock and had to spend 80 balls without scoring a boundary as the West Indies spinners were getting both spin and bounce from the surface.

However, he broke the monotony of singles and doubles as he hit Jomel Warrican for a boundary on a stylish cover drive on the 81^st ball he faced and immediately pumped his fist in the air to celebrate the shot.

He cherished the boundary in such a manner even the commentator Ian Bishop laughed on-air.

India ended day two on 312/2 with Jaiswal on 143* and Kohli on 36*.
