Sanju Samson registered scores of 30* and 15 in the two T20I innings against West Indies.
It was a dead-rubber clash as India had already taken an unassailable lead in the series. Hence, the visitors went into the game without their key players, including captain Rohit Sharma, swashbuckling batter Suryakumar Yadav, wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant and pace spearhead Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
However, the Indian team, led by Hardik Pandya, still proved too good for the hosts as they outclassed them to clinch the series 4-1.
After the resounding victory, Indian players hopped on a buggy for a victory lap around the venue. When the trio of Rohit, R Ashwin and Sanju Samson drove past the boundary ropes, fans in the stand started chanting 'Sanju, Sanju, Sanju."
Overwhelmed by the adulation, Samson also responded with a classy gesture as he got down from the car and saluted the crowd.
