Dhawan will captain India in the upcoming three ODIs against West Indies.
Indian stand-in skipper Shikhar Dhawan opened up about his viral ‘Hey’ reel which featured head coach Rahul Dravid as well. He said that it’s important to have fun while working.
Team India is currently in West Indies. They will take on the visitors in the three-match ODI series, starting 22nd July, followed by the five-T20I series.
The ODI squad will be led by Dhawan and they have kick-started their preparations for the series. On their arrival in the country, the skipper posted a reel on his Instagram account, which caught the attention of many.
The reel featured Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer, Ishan Kishan, Yuzvendra Chahal, Ravindra Jadeja, and Mohammed Siraj. There was a surprise entire in the video as well as coach Dravid, who is considered a reserved and quiet person, also made an appearance. His gesture in the reel made many go bonkers

Speaking at the press conference before the 1st ODI, Shikhar Dhawan talked about the reel he shared on his Instagram account, which featured head coach Dravid as well.
He said that because of his jolly nature and energy he’s able to get well with everyone and it's important to have fun while working
"I feel because of my nature and energy I am able to gel well with everyone. It is very important to have fun while working. Work goes on, but that liveliness creates a very good bond, as you saw in my reel, which also had Rahul bhai,” Shikhar Dhawan said.
He added that reels create bonding between the team and it also makes people happy.
“The entire team was there (in the reel). These days there are reels, earlier there were team dinners or team activities. It creates bonding. It also feels good to make people happy through such reels over any other means," he said.
Dhawan talked about his relationship with Dravid, saying that they created a good bond in Sri Lanka last year.
“I have very good relations with Rahul bhai. We were together in Sri Lanka as well. A good bond was created there. Our understanding is really good,” he said.
