Labuschagne was playing for Redlands team in the tournament.
Labuschagne had scored a century for Redlands in the tournament previously, but this time, he surprised everyone with his leg-spin. Marnus took a brilliant hat-trick with his bowling in the final of the tournament against Valley.
Labuschagne had made 16 runs in 10 balls after Redlands had chosen to bat first against Valley. The star of the Redlands innings was Jimmy Peirson, who smashed an unbeaten 102 off 50 balls, while no other batter crossed 20. The team scored 191/6 in 20 overs.
Redlands took the advantage early on as Valley fell to 12/3 and then 32/4 while defending the total. Valley's hopes were momentarily restored by a counterattacking stand between Max Bryant (76 off 38) and Jayden Draper (26 off 23), but the chase was over once Bryant left at 105.
In the 18th over, Labuschagne, who had earlier removed Tighe Morris with the final ball of the 15th over, came back to deliver the decisive blow. He threw Cameron Boyce out completely. He completed an unforgettable hat-trick by dismissing Tom Hallion with a spectacular googly in the following ball. Redlands prevailed by 41 runs.
