The Duleep Trophy 2025 began on August 28 with two quarter-final matches.
They were rudely shocked to learn, though, that one of India's major domestic cricket championships would not be live-streamed by the BCCI. The top three domestic first-class competitions in India are the Ranji Trophy, Duleep Trophy, and Irani Cup; the Ranji Trophy is the highest-ranked domestic competition, with the Duleep Trophy coming in second.
Some of the best players in Indian cricket competed in the first and second quarterfinal matches between the North Zone and East Zone and the Central Zone and Northeast Zone.
After missing time due to injury, Mohammed Shami is back playing for the East Zone, where Riyan Parag is a popular hitter and Mukesh Kumar is his fast-bowling partner. Arshdeep Singh and Yash Dhull are in the North Zone starting lineup. Deepak Chahar, Rajat Patidar, and Kuldeep Yadav are all in the other game.
With fans having no way of following the match via live stream, they slammed BCCI for their poor planning. Neither BCCI nor its official broadcast partners are showing the matches on any social media channels, and fans are furious at the board for treating a premier domestic tournament this way.
They took to social media and registered their fury against the BCCI.
