Aaryavir scored 22 off 16 balls on DPL debut for Central Delhi Kings.

Aaryavir Sehwag, son of former India opener Virender Sehwag, gave a glimpse of his exceptional batting talent while playing a Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2025 match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Wednesday (August 27).

Playing for Central Delhi Kings against East Delhi Riders, Aaryavir smashed two consecutive fours off India pacer Navdeep Saini, who has the experience of 2 Tests, 8 ODIs, and 11 T20Is, in the third over.

Sehwag Jr. struck two more boundaries against Rounak Waghela in the fifth over. However, he got out in the same over after scoring 22 off 16 balls.

The video of 17-year-old Aaryavir Sehwag taking on the bowlers, including Saini, has gone viral on the internet.

Aaryavir, who was roped in for INR 8 lakh by Central Delhi Kings, now wants to build on his debut DPL knock and bat longer.

“It felt good. The first two boundaries gave me confidence and helped me settle in. But the innings wasn’t that long. I will try to stay longer in the middle next time," Aaryavir said, as quoted by News18.
