Although Surya has been practicing at the CoE for the past few days, this is his first time hitting the nets.
After undergoing surgery, Suryakumar was checked into the Centre of Excellence (CoE) a few days ago for rehabilitation and fitness evaluations in order to be ready for the Asia Cup, which will begin in the UAE on September 9 in T20 format.
Last month, SKY took a plane to Munich to see a specialist about addressing a lower abdominal injury on the right side that was caused by a sports hernia. The 34-year-old Mumbaikar had sports hernia surgery in Munich last year (January 2024), marking the second time in two years that he has had the procedure.
For the Mumbai Indians, the handsome batsman had an incredible IPL 2025, scoring 717 runs at a strike rate of 167.9 in 16 games.
