Neeraj Chopra made this assessment based on the physical attributes and techniques.
In particular, Chopra highlighted Bumrah's fitness and strength as key factors that would make him suitable for javelin throw.
"I think it would be a fast bowler for sure. So, I think a fully fit Jasprit Bumrah will be good at it," Chopra said during a special segment on Star Sports hosted by Navjot Singh Sidhu.
Bumrah's recent performance in cricket showcases his physical prowess. The ace pacer bagged his 14th five-wicket haul in the first Test against England at Headingley. However, his stunning spell went in vain as India lost the match by five wickets to concede a 1-0 lead in the five-match series.
Bumrah was exceptional with the ball throughout 2024. He claimed 78 wickets in just 15 Test matches, leading all fast bowlers globally during this period.
Due to workload management considerations, Jasprit Bumrah is expected to be rested for the second Test at Edgbaston, starting on July 2. Mohammed Siraj is anticipated to lead the pace attack, despite his underwhelming display in the Leeds Test.
